The Kansas City Symphony will perform Peter Boyer’s Celebration Overture as part of its annual Symphony in the Flint Hills, which takes place on the stunningly beautiful prairie of the Kansas Flint Hills. The performance will be telecast on KSHB-TV, Kansas City’s NBC affiliate.
This will be the second time that the Kansas City Symphony will perform one of Boyer’s works for Symphony in the Flint Hills. In 2009, Boyer’s New Beginnings was performed, conducted by Steven Jarvi.
