The 2025-2026 concert season, from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026, was the busiest ever for composer Peter Boyer and the Propulsive Music catalog, with 125 live concert performances, most of them orchestral.
This season included the premieres of two major new works by Boyer, together totaling nearly 80 minutes of music, all composed for large forces: American Mosaic for narrator and orchestra, premiered by the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Thomas Wilkins, narrated by John Milewski, on February 19, 2026; and A Hundred Years On for vocal soloists, choir, and orchestra, premiered by The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Crossing choir, and a quintet of soloists, conducted by Anthony Parnther, on June 17, 2026.
American Mosaic was jointly commissioned by seven orchestras, including five of the major American orchestras, and all of them (NSO, Cincinnati, Detroit, Nashville, Pacific, Des Moines, Williamsburg) performed the work in the 2025-2026 season, giving a total of 19 performances.
In addition to these two major premieres, Boyer’s Ellis Island: The Dream of America received a remarkable 30 performances in the 2025-2026 season (bringing it close to 350 total performances), and his Rhapsody in Red, White & Blue received 10 performances with solo pianist Jeffrey Biegel and various orchestras (bringing it close to 70 total performances). There were also more than 65 additional performances of other works from the Propulsive Music catalog. Many of these performances were programmed as part of “America 250” celebrations by orchestras and ensembles across the United States.
Another notable aspect of the 2025-2026 season was the first performance of Boyer’s music at the world-renowned Berlin Philharmonie (both Silver Fanfare and Festivities on November 28, 2025).
