Peter Boyer has conducted a recording session of his music with the Hollywood Studio Symphony and Choir at the historic Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures in Culver City.

The 74-piece orchestra included many of Hollywood’s top musicians, including nearly 50 players who performed on John Williams’s score for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, on this same scoring stage. The orchestra was contracted by Peter Rotter, one of the busiest contractors on today’s Hollywood music scene. The 20-voice choir of top LA session singers was contracted by Jasper Randall.

The recording engineer was Tommy Vicari, known for his work on the film scores of Thomas Newman, and his work on the Academy Awards, among many other distinguished credits. The music recorded was a group of cinematic cues in a variety of styles. The finished tracks can be heard here. A video from the session can be seen here.
