Renowned Scottish percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie has released a YouTube video in which she performs and discusses a short piece composed for her by Peter Boyer.
Boyer’s short work, called Mini VibEtude in A, was composed as part of the “50 for 50” project, in which 50 composers were invited to compose pieces of exactly 50 bars in length, each for a single percussion instrument, in celebration of Evelyn Glennie’s 50th birthday in 2015. Boyer’s work was for vibraphone.
