Peter Boyer conducted the finale anthem of his work On Music’s Wings with 350 young instrumentalists and singers from the Irvine Unified School District, in the 35th annual Donald Bren Honors Concert, at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa on March 16th. Boyer’s work served as the finale of the concert, which featured multiple orchestras, choirs, and conductors from the IUSD. The concert was sponsored by the Irvine Public Schools Foundation.
On Music’s Wings was originally commissioned by Orange County’s Pacific Symphony in celebration of its 25th anniversary season in 2003-04.
